Cognitive and affective neuroscience of pain is a developing field of science, interconnecting psychology, medicine and the neurosciences. The aims of the inaugural meeting of CANoP (Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience of Pain; a special interest group of the Swiss Society for Pain Research) are to:
- Stimulate scientific exchanges among researchers in Switzerland who use cognitive and affective methods to investigate pain;
- Promote a scientific network and collaborative initiatives;
- Enhance the visibility of the different groups and obtain an overview of current research in this field in Switzerland.
