Soft Interfacial Physics and Technology for Functional and Living Soft Matter

Colloque / Congrès / Forum, Conférence
Ouvert au grand public
30.09.2026 08:15 - 09:00
Présentiel

Exact schedule: 8:15-8:55
Soft matter systems in liquid environments exhibit complex coupling between mechanical, hydrodynamic, capillary, and electrical interactions. My research develops force-resolved multimodal platforms that provide quantitative access to these coupled phenomena, enabling predictive understanding of structure–function relationships. In this presentation, I will discuss how this experimental framework evolved from wetting physics to immersed soft adhesion, electro-active interfaces, and adaptive soft materials. I will highlight recent scientific advances, interdisciplinary collaborations, and future research directions aligned with AMI's strengths in soft matter physics, polymer chemistry, and functional materials. My goal is to establish experimental soft interfacial physics as a quantitative framework for next-generation soft materials and biointerfaces.
