The Odesan writer Ganna Kostenko will read from her novel “Tsurki-hilki: Jazz Improvisations” (2017), live from Odesa.
Ganna Kostenko is one of the most promising young literary voices of Ukraine: She is member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, winner of several literature prices, screenwriter, actress, as well as PhD candidate in Ukrainian literature. Her work reflects the cultural richness and the eventful history of the city of Odesa.

Reading in Ukrainian and German, conversation in Ukrainian and English (with consecutive translation).

Followed by a light reception.

The event is part of the workshop and virtual study trip to Odesa, taking place at the University of Fribourg on 27 and 28 June.
