Since the dawn of humanity and in all societies, social conditions have been known to influence the health of individuals. However, over the course of human history, societies have made significant progresses in improving the social conditions of human existence. Nevertheless, social inequalities in health persist, even in the most economically and socially advanced societies. The purpose of this course is to elucidate the underlying causes of this phenomenon.
