DESCRIPTION:In space with Astronaut Prof. Jeffrey Hoffman, MIT.\n\nIn 2020, NASA, the US space agency, will start preparations for sending humans to Mars ! To demonstrate the challenges of working in the void of space, we invited former NASA astronaut Prof. Jeffrey A. Hoffman for an unforgettable evening. After receiving a PhD from Harvard University, he enrolled in NASA’s Shuttle program in 1979 and has since flown five Space Shuttle missions. \n\nProf. Hoffman’s talk will be preceded by an introduction from a student team from the HEIA-FR & HEPIA taking part in REXUS, a European program for university students to carry out scientific experiments on rockets and balloons.
