DESCRIPTION:In my talk I will consider Lie algebras which are defined\nusing finite dimensional representations. In particular\nI want to explain how the Jacobi identity can be reformulated\ninto a geometric or representation theoretic condition.\nAs an application I will present a simple construction\nfor exceptional Lie algebras. My talk is based on a\njoint work with Andrei Moroianu.
