DESCRIPTION:By using a logarithmic transformation, we will explore how \ndiffusion and random velocity processes enable to construct to \nsolvable discrete velocity Boltzmann equations and non-linear \nreaction diffusion processes which are natural generalizations of the \nBurgers' equation. Not only relevant for statistical physics, the \nresulting parabolic and hyperbolic non-linear field equations will \nbe shown to be interpretable in terms of optimal stochastic control \nproblems.\n<br />\n[Invited by Prof. Christian Mazza]\n
