DESCRIPTION:Ce Workshop "Religion et décolonisation", qui se tient alternativement à l'Université de Fribourg et à la KU Leuven, est organisé par le groupe de recherche “The Global Pontificate of Pius XII: Catholicism in a Divided World (1945-1958)”. L'objectif de cette deuxième édition est de croiser les perspectives politiques et religieuses sur la décolonisation. \n\nDeux ouvrages récents portant sur la décolonisation française en Afrique seront présentés par leur auteur-trice :\n- Nicolas Bancel, Décolonisations ? Élites, jeunesse et pouvoir en Afrique occidentale française (1945-1960)\n- Marialuisa Lucia Sergio, How the Church Under Pius XII Addressed Decolonization: The Issue of Algerian Independence\n\nDeux doctorants du projet “The Global Pontificate of Pius XII" présenteront leur recherche :\n- Aurel Dewarrat, The Catholic Church and Decolonization in Cameroon : Politico-religious perspectives\n- Sam Kuijken, «La Chiesa e lo Stato Belga siano due cose veramente distinte»: Church-State relations and Decolonization in Belgian Congo\n\n
