The Police – between Social Security and Public SafetyJournée, Conférence Public-cible: Académique ou spécialiste
The duties falling to the police are increasingly settled at the crossroads of crime control and
the perception of social problems. Problem-oriented or community policing approaches have
been established, where cooperation with partners from the private and public sector, as well
as with citizens, play an important role. The goal of this conference is to present diverse views of
different players in the field. Moreover, discussions should shed light on how such cooperation
might work as well as on possible obstacles.
The conference is targeted towards students, scientists, social workers, members of the police,
and anyone interested in the topic.
